TV, Radio and Film
Ian acts as an historical consultant for radio and TV, and was recently consulted by an international film company in pre-production for a major historical epic. He has also broadcast on local and national radio and TV.

Publication and Design Project Experience
Ian has worked extensively with book editors and both 2D and 3D designers for over twenty years.
He has considerable experience in:
- historic picture and photo research (and research for images in other media)
- developing design briefs for new museum galleries, for use by exhibition designers
- developing briefs and design drafts for maps and models to be used by graphic, digital and 3D designers in publications, exhibitions and on TV (for example, he researched and drafted all of the maps and diagrams used in the Armada exhibition and catalogue. He also does this for his own books)
- scripting audio texts for exhibitions
